A human guide
Sunshine is easy. A good plan takes more work.
On a map, it is easy to confuse places worth a full day with those best seen in passing. Our guides explain how long to allow, what combines into one route and what to avoid in the midday heat.

We check an address before we recommend it

From a port city to a walkway above a gorge
Every destination has its own guide with specific places, maps and advice before you go.

Málaga
A city worth more than a quick airport stop on the way to the beach.

Marbella
Marbella has two faces: whitewashed old-town lanes and a coastline of hotels, golf courses and marinas.

Nerja and Frigiliana
Two different places that naturally combine into an excellent day on the eastern Costa del Sol.

Ronda
The most cinematic day trip from the coast, best enjoyed without racing between viewpoints.

Mijas Pueblo
A classic white village near the resorts, but with a distinctly mountain character.

Caminito del Rey
One of Andalusia's most spectacular routes requires an advance ticket and a little planning.
Beaches for different plans
A good beach does not have to be wild
Choose according to children, facilities, water sports or the space and scenery you want.
Costa del Golf
Choose the course for your game, not the resort name
Our selection starts with courses that differ clearly in design, setting and logistics.
What to order
Espeto, boquerones and chilled ajoblanco
Look for a chiringuito that actually grills sardines over a sand-filled boat. In Málaga, try boquerones, ensalada malagueña and ajoblanco.
Restaurants will be added after a personal visit or a strong local recommendation.
